With the support of Plan International, we are able to work with 3000 volunteers who oversee the education and general welfare of 3000+ children in the area of Senior Chief Nkanda and traditional authority Juma in Mulanje District.
K2 Foundation from Canada
Since 2017, K2-Foundation has been supporting our public health initiatives. They sponsored the construction of the modern office complex and community clinic, purchased a van, and hired a medical assistant and a registered nurse for the OTK community clinic.
University of Michigan Ross School of Business
Since 2018, we’ve partnered with University of Michigan Ross School of Business on their Multidisciplinary Action Projects. The University sends its Executive and Full-time MBA students twice a year (in March and in October) to collaborate with us on business development and strategy.
I Demand Access (IDA) Board
Following the formation of I.D.A. in 2019, the board has supported over 500 girls in secondary school and tertiary education.
International Development Institute, IDI
Since our partnership began in 2023, we’ve built new houses for families who lost their homes to Cyclone Freddy and installed water purification systems in public schools, public health institutions and other community centers. IDI also purchased the pickup truck we needed to transport building supplies for the housing project.
Flintridge Preparatory School
The Flintridge Preparatory School first partnered with Othakarhaka on the Girls Art and Empowerment Camp project in 2017. Under the leadership of Miss Hillary Thomas, Flintridge school has been sponsoring teachers to join us in Mulanje to host the Girls Art Empowerment camp every summer.
Borchard Foundation
The Borchard Foundation supports girls studying in technical universities through I Demand Access.
