Palliative Care at Home

Our Palliative Care Program has held a special place in the heart of Othakarhaka Foundation. It reaches elderly and chronically ill patients, most of whom are living with cancer, right in their homes, bringing care, comfort, and a sense of dignity to those who need it most.

Every week our dedicated health workers, community trained caregiver volunteers, and student interns studying in medical fields visit patients at home, especially those who can no longer travel to health facilities. They monitor vital signs, provide essential medical care, offer emotional support, and stand alongside families so they never feel alone on the journey.

Through this program many patients experience meaningful comfort, attentive care, and renewed hope. Families find peace of mind knowing their loved ones are being looked after and communities are reminded of the power of compassion in action.

We remain proud of what this initiative continues to deliver and grateful for the lives it touches, uplifts, and strengthens across our communities.
