Naomi’s Journey: From Scholarship to University

When Naomi joined the Othakarhaka Education Scholarship Program in Form One at Stella Maris Secondary School, she carried with her a dream to complete her education and one day help others in need.

Today, that dream is taking shape. Naomi has successfully completed her first year at the University of Malawi (UNIMA), where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities. As the eldest of four children from a farming family, her path has not been without challenges. Yet with determination and the support of Othakarhaka, she continues to rise.

Naomi’s story is a reminder that education is the bridge between potential and progress equipping young people not only to shape their own future but also to uplift their communities.
