Mirriam: A Girl with a Dream Supported by OTK

Mirriam is 20 years old and comes from Maholiya Village, T/A Mkhumba in Phalombe. She is the second born in a family of six and lives with her single mother, who depends on small-scale farming.

Through the OTK scholarship program, Mirriam attended Mpassa Community Day Secondary School. She worked hard and stayed focused on her studies.

Now, Mirriam has been selected to study for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Midwifery at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences. She dreams of helping her community and becoming a role model for other girls in her village.

Mirriam’s story shows that with OTK’s support and her own determination, young girls can achieve their dreams and inspire others to follow.
