We are overjoyed to share some exciting news with our community! Our tailoring school, OTK Tailoring, has received a generous donation of 10 sewing machines from Professor Andrew Lawlor of the University of Michigan (UMICH). This incredible gift will enable us to expand our program and empower more young mothers to gain valuable skills and independence.
Our 8-month tailoring program equips single mothers and girls with hands-on skills, providing them with a sense of purpose and self-sufficiency. Upon completion, they receive a sewing machine and start-up materials to kick-start their own businesses.
A Cycle of Kindness
Our graduates pay it forward by paying back the cost of the sewing machine, enabling us to support another cohort of women. This cycle of kindness is at the heart of our program, and we are grateful to have Professor Lawlor as a part of it.
A Big Thank You
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Professor Andrew Lawlor for his kindness and generosity. His donation will make a significant difference in the lives of many young mothers, and we are honored to have him as a part of our community. Thank you, Professor Lawlor, for passing on kindness and empowering our ladies to do the same!
